What to Expect

Experience the beautiful Holta Canyon and the thermal baths. Holta’s Canyon, has remained fairly unexplored from local and foreign tourists alike.

  • Discover the Holta Canyon
  • Adventure tour
  • Driving off-path to the canyon

Depart at 09:00 from Tirana/ Durres. To arrive at our secret destination we will pass through one of the most famous roads in Albania, and the Roman civilization, Via Egnatia! Via Egnatia was built in the 3rd century BC and was an important part of the Roman road network mainly because it connected Rome with Constantinople (modern day Istanbul). Our first stop will be the Banja Lake, which is one of the largest man-made lakes in Albania! Here you will also have the opportunity to take pictures of the spectacular views of the surrounding area.

Next we will drive Off-road to the canyon. This beautiful, breathtaking place is the virgin of the canyons in Albania. The canyon is 3 km long, 150 m high and in some places, it narrows as little as ten meters wide. During our exploration through the canyon, you will have the opportunity to explore several unexplored karst caves of rare beauty that are found on the canyon walls, created by limestone rocks. You will also have the opportunity to enjoy small pools of thermal waters, where you can relax during this journey. After exploring the unexplored gem of Albania, we will stop for lunch at a restaurant near Banja Lake. Optional after lunch is a boat ride at the lake. We plan to be back at the hotel approx. at 17:00 o’clock.
